Childcare Assistant Director

Description

Cornestone Learning Center – Oakland is now hiring an Assistant Director for their Child Care Center in Oakland, TN.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• CDA or Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Previous experience working in a licensed childcare facility as a Lead Teacher
• Managerial or supervisory experience in a childcare setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of state licensing regulations and early childhood best practices

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Center Director in daily operations and center management
• Aid in developing and implementing programs that support child growth and staff development
• Conduct enrollment activities, including family tours and marketing efforts
• Ensure state and company licensing compliance through regular checks
• Guide teaching staff in curriculum development and classroom organization
• Foster strong, professional relationships with families and staff
• Physically able to engage with children, including lifting (up to 40 lbs), walking, sitting, running, and using stairs
