About the role

Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital Wellness Center is hiring a Childcare Program Assistant on a Flexi status, working 8–12 hours per week. Seeking incumbents with weekday morning availability, especially Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 8:15 AM and 1 PM.

The Childcare Assistant provides for the safety and well-being of every child in the wellness center's children's programs. Responsible for the implementation and execution of a broad range of care and activities for ages 0 weeks to 17 years. Provide care and nurturing in the childcare area for younger kids and deliver fun, stimulating activities in youth programs. Implement and execute various events and programs.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• 1 year of related experience (allied health, childcare, or daycare)
