About the role

The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Mental Health Technician to join our brand new Child Wellness Center. The Child Wellness Mental Health Technician serves as a key contributor to the emotional, behavioral, and physical well-being of residents within a structured care environment. This role involves providing both individual and group supervision, implementing therapeutic interventions, and modeling positive behavioral leadership to foster a trauma-informed, supportive atmosphere. By delivering direct care to individuals facing mental health and behavioral challenges, the technician ensures a safe and nurturing setting that encourages stability, recovery, and personal growth. Age range served is 6-17.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• High school diploma; Associate’s degree preferred
• Active driver’s license and proof of car insurance
• One year of mental health working experience
• 21 years of age or older
• Previous work experience as a Mental Health Technician, Mental Health Specialist, Behavioral Aide, or other related title

Pay

• Shift differential added to base rate:
• 2nd Shift (3 p.m. – 11 p.m.): $1.50/hr
• 3rd Shift (11 p.m. – 7 a.m.): $1.00/hr
• Weekends (Fri, 3 p.m. – Mon, 6:59 a.m.): $0.50/hr

Schedule

• Full‑time, non‑exempt (weekends required)
• 1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
