Child PMHNP

About the role

The Part Time Hybrid Child Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic support for pediatric and adolescent patients in a collaborative, hybrid (telehealth and in-person) setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and medication management for children and adolescents
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and primary care providers
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide patient and family education around medications, treatment options, and wellness strategies
• Participate in case conferences and care coordination
• Accurately document patient encounters using EMR
• Support the expansion of pediatric mental health services across the community

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing
• Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Active and unrestricted New York State NP license
• 3 years of experience working with children and adolescents in mental health settings

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
• Knowledge of community-based or urban healthcare systems is preferred

Skills

• Comfortable working in a hybrid care model (in-person and telehealth)
