About the role
We are seeking a Child Mental Health Therapist who is licensed in the state of Florida as an LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT. This position is a 3-4 day per week employment, including after-school hours to accommodate school schedules.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and effective therapy to children and families, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Utilize play therapy techniques to engage with young clients, fostering emotional and psychological growth.
- Utilize trauma-informed treatment modalities to assist clients in their healing.
- Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in interpersonal neurobiology to enhance therapeutic interventions.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to expand your expertise and skills.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions and progress.
- Engage in regular supervision and peer consultations to ensure high-quality care and continuous improvement in practice.
Qualifications
- Must be licensed in the state of Florida to provide mental health services.
- Experience in providing therapy to children and families, with a focus on creating a safe and supportive environment.
- Ability to utilize play therapy techniques effectively to engage young clients and promote emotional growth.
- Proven track record of developing personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs and goals.
