Child Life Specialist — St. Mary's Hospital Richmond — PRN

Key Job Duties

• Demonstrates fiscal responsibility by preparing reports for and maintaining records for Auxiliary and Foundation accounts.
• Adheres to the standards and policies of the Corporate Responsibility Program, including the duty to comply with applicable laws and regulations, and reporting to designated Manager (or employer hotline) any suspected unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful acts of practices.

• Adheres to all standards and policies regarding safety/patient safety initiatives.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of the patient serviced on assigned unit - Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric.
• Is responsible for all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Education, Child Life, Child Psychology or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience with children in a hospital setting.
• Child Life Certification preferred.

Work Conditions

• Works in patient care environment with some exposure to communicable diseases.
• Work requires standing and walking; may assist with lifting and positioning of patient.

Pay

Range: Minimum: $23.20 Maximum: $35.97
