Job Summary
The primary responsibility of a Child & Family Services Intern is to include shadowing, assisting, and working with the team in the direct service area.

- Criminal background checks as required by licensing, agency, or other governmental and accreditation requirements
- Volunteer or work experience in the field is a plus
- Completion of agency requirements as for employees
- Computer literate – Word, Excel, and able to work with databases
- Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- College courses in the area of concentration social work, counseling, psychology or education
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License, appropriate insurance and use of own vehicle.
Working Conditions
- Non-Traditional work hours in the office.
- Working with consumers with a variety of behaviors, including aggression.
- May include working in other environments outside the office, such as in-home or school settings.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit, communicate verbally and in writing, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
- Close vision requirements due to computer work.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
- The employee has the potential to encounter unpredictable and aggressive consumers.
