About the role

Child Development and Early Education (CDEE) Supervisor provides oversight for the Texas Rising Star (TRS) program. The role is responsible for tracking and reporting on all aspects of the TRS program and supporting the board's quality initiatives. It includes coaching, leadership, direction, and professional development of Early Care and Education Specialists and the Quality Initiatives Coordinator.

Key responsibilities

• Track and report on all aspects of the Texas Rising Star (TRS) program.
• Support the board's quality initiatives.
• Provide coaching, leadership, direction, and professional development for Early Care and Education Specialists and the Quality Initiatives Coordinator.
• Develop people and processes that deliver quality early care and education.
• Communicate in a professional and courteous manner and collaborate with team members and management.
• Work sensitively with diverse cultures and articulate clearly with assertiveness.
• Make quick decisions based on available information and take action to improve staff efficiency and productivity.
• Supervise Early Childhood Education Specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (highly preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years of work‑related experience in early childhood education or a related field.
