Child Development Assistant - PM (Part-time)

About the role

Lateral transfer posting first 3 days (8/12/2026 – 8/14/2026). Promotional/qualified internal applicants considered after no lateral interest – 5 days (8/12/2026 – 8/18/2026). Outside applicants considered after all qualified in‑district applicants are interviewed. District/end‑of‑month paid employees (excludes timesheet and probationary status) should apply during the first 5 days of the 10‑day posting period. Probationary employees will be considered with external applicants.

Pay

Salary range: $19.08 – $23.22 per hour (5‑step increments per contract; highest placement with experience is step 3).

Schedule

Work year: 3.8 hours per day (12:12 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.), 184 days per year.

Requirements

Minimum of 6 ECE units required. Assistant Preschool Teacher or Preschool Teacher California Credentialing Teacher Permit preferred.
