About the role

Child Development Assistant-School Age positions are entry-level and work with Discovery Club.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position working with school-age children ages 5-12
• Relevant experience and/or education required (documentation must be provided with application)

Preferences

• Proof of Associate Teacher Permit (ATP) from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)
• Higher education including completion of college units in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
• Completion of 6 ECE units
• Previous experience working with school-age children ages 5-12

• Desirable additional documentation: proof of ATP from the CTC, proof of higher education, proof of completion of 6 ECE units

Pay & schedule

• Salary: $18.11 - $20.65 per hour (CSEA General Unit Salary Schedule)
• Employment Type: Part Time, Permanent
• Length of Work Year: 12 months/year, 260 days/year, 5 days/week (Calendar 1)
• Length of Work Day: 4 hours
• Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM
