Child Care Worker - Overnight

About the role

Become part of a dedicated team committed to improving the lives of at-risk youth. Join Childhelp, Alice C. Tyler Village in Lignum, Virginia, where you'll work at a psychiatric residential treatment facility for children aged 5-14 dealing with trauma, neglect, and various mental health issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and around-the-clock supervision of at-risk youth
• Support the physical, personal, and health needs of each youth through individual counseling and skill development
• Maintain a supportive environment for youth’s needs
• Monitor and document behaviors and activities
• Participate and assist with educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities
• Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 6 months experience working with children preferred (paid or volunteer)
• Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test

Qualifications

• Ability to work flexible hours including overnight shifts

Pay

$19 to $23 per hour based on education and experience. Earn a $1,000 bonus after completing essential skills training within 90 days.

Schedule

Work week consists of 4 ten-hour shifts with one weekend night required. Overnight shift: 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
