Overnight Youth Care Worker

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for an Overnight Youth Care Worker at Uta Halee Academy in Omaha, Nebraska.
About the Role
Uta Halee Academy (UHA) is a female-specific, residential program that offers young women opportunities to build productive and meaningful futures for themselves and their communities. Through rigorous education, positive skill development, and individualized therapeutic interventions and treatment, we empower youth to reach their full potential. The facility features residential student dormitories, on-site schooling, a dining hall, and extracurricular opportunities for the students.
Responsibilities
- Provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for the youth in our program.
- Create an atmosphere that is supportive of the needs of the students.
- Monitor and document student behaviors during the night.
- Collaborate with other professional staff to establish and/or meet the goals of each student’s treatment plan.
Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of post-high school education
- Have 2 years of experience working with youth
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
- Pass a search of the child abuse central registry
Qualifications
- High school diploma
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
Benefits
- $1,000 bonus after successful completion of essential skills training within 90 days
Pay
Starting at $18.00/hour for those with less than 2 years of experience with at-risk youth.
Schedule
Looking to fill full-time shift B Shift from Wednesday to Saturday from 10 p.m. - 8 a.m.
