At Casey’s, we don’t just say we’re family-first—we live it. We’re seeking a Child Care Teacher for our on-site Child Development Center at the Casey's Store Support Center in Ankeny.
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, engaging environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
- Design fun, developmentally appropriate activities and learning centers.
- Support emotional, social, physical, and cognitive growth.
- Observe, document, and celebrate children’s progress.
- Build strong, positive relationships with parents and caregivers.
- Keep classrooms clean, safe, and full of energy and creativity.
- Follow licensing regulations, program guidelines, and best practices.
- Participate in ongoing learning, staff collaboration, and professional development.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Child Development or equivalent experience required.
- Strong working knowledge of childcare and development.
- Annual Universal Precautions training.
- First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Mandatory child abuse training class.
- Creativity, compassion, and professionalism are a must.
- Fun and enthusiastic attitude required.
- Exceptional patience and ability to remain calm at all times.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, especially relating to children.
- Constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
- Excellent creativity used in developing children's programs.

Pay
Starting pay range: $17.00 - $19.00. Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity.
Schedule
Enjoy a four-day workweek—four 10-hour shifts between 6:40 a.m. and 5:35 p.m. (That’s a built-in day off every week!)
