Child Care Assistant I PT

Position Summary

The Preschool Aide supports the Early Childhood Education teacher in maintaining a safe, engaging, and organized preschool environment. This position helps ensure the preschool runs smoothly during operational days.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 9:00 am–12:30 pm (only when preschool is in session)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with classroom activities and supervision of children
• Organize, set up, and put away classroom materials and supplies
• Help with ordering and managing classroom supplies
• Prepare for holidays and special events
• Communicate with parents as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe classroom environment
• Perform other duties as assigned to support preschool operations

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Dependable and punctual

Pay

• Lane 1 Step 1: $17.88/hour (Not Highly Qualified)
• Lane 2 Step 1: $18.88/hour (Associate's degree or 48 semester hours from an accredited college/university; or Highly Qualified Information)
