About the role
Babilou Family US is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Certified Teacher and ensure a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children. The role involves classroom support, child supervision, family interaction, and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering daily lesson plans and learning activities.
- Support the implementation and oversight of sustainable education practices.
- Supervise children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor play.
- Support individual developmental needs and help children achieve age-appropriate milestones.
- Greet families and support daily communication.
- Attend all required training and collaborate with the teaching team.
- Exercises independent judgment in daily decision-making related to school operations, staff support, safety, and classroom quality.
- Assists with the supervision and direction of school staff.
- Makes decisions that directly impact school operations, including compliance, curriculum implementation, and family communication workflows.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- EEC Director II Certification.
- Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of child development and classroom safety standards.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow lesson plans and support the Certified Teacher effectively.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working in ECE school leadership preferred.

Pay
$56,000-$61,000 per year with an annual bonus plan.
