About the role

Babilou Family US is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Certified Teacher and ensure a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children. The role involves classroom support, child supervision, family interaction, and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering daily lesson plans and learning activities.
  • Support the implementation and oversight of sustainable education practices.
  • Supervise children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor play.
  • Support individual developmental needs and help children achieve age-appropriate milestones.
  • Greet families and support daily communication.
  • Attend all required training and collaborate with the teaching team.
  • Exercises independent judgment in daily decision-making related to school operations, staff support, safety, and classroom quality.
  • Assists with the supervision and direction of school staff.
  • Makes decisions that directly impact school operations, including compliance, curriculum implementation, and family communication workflows.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • EEC Director II Certification.
  • Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and classroom safety standards.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow lesson plans and support the Certified Teacher effectively.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working in ECE school leadership preferred.

Pay

$56,000-$61,000 per year with an annual bonus plan.
