Child Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Interact positively with children, families, staff, and community members
• Consistently supervise, plan, and implement a variety of experiences for children
• Apply positive behavior management and leadership skills
• Use positive guidance techniques
• Ensure policy procedures and program needs are carried out
• Demonstrate punctuality, flexibility, and reliability

Requirements

• Dedicated and energetic team player
• Professional and responsible demeanor
• Self-criminal record check and child abuse registry check (an asset)
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (an asset)
• Commit to Kids Training certificate and Accessibility Training certificates (completed online)
• Willingness to complete and obtain a 40-hour course requirement
