Child Care Assistant

Purple Monkey Child Care Corp. is searching for an energetic, committed child care assistant to work at their Linden Meadows location.

About the role

• Must be available to work between the hours of 7:15 - 5:30
• Hours needed are before school, lunch time, and after school during school days
• Straight shifts may be available on inservice days, and all school breaks
• This position is a part-time casual position
• Candidate must be willing to work at all three of their centres

Responsibilities

• Provide quality childcare services
• Assist with meal preparation and serving
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development
• Offer paid lunch breaks and professional development
• Attend staff meetings with dinner provided

Requirements

• Valid First Aid/CPR certification
• Experience working with children
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues
• Pass a criminal record check

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Some post-secondary education in early childhood education is preferred

Skills

• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Patience and empathy towards children
