Child Care Assistant

About the role

Lifesteps is hiring a part-time Assistant Group Supervisor (AGS / Teacher Aides / Child Care Assistants) to work at the Children's Services center in the Butler, PA area.

Responsibilities

• Care and supervision of children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years
• Assisting with lesson planning
• Creating activities
• Supervising playtime
• Providing a nurturing environment
• Updating parents about the child's day

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience working with children
• Able to lift or move up to 30 pounds without assistance
• Able to provide acceptable state clearances
• Able to multi-task and work in a team environment

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or Human Services field
