Child Autism Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. The role involves working one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

About the Role

This role requires patience, compassion, and teamwork. Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you are equipped to help each child.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Reduce interfering behaviors using evidence-based techniques
• Work closely with children with autism
• Provide support to families of children with autism

Requirements

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient and compassionate
• Able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification, and a TB test
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• No prior experience necessary; comprehensive training provided
• Unpredictable and potentially confrontational environment
• Physical demands including standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds

Pay

$19 - $24 per hour
