Child and Youth Program Assistant (Entry - Intermediate Level).

Duties

• Serves as a Child and Youth Program Assistant (CYPA) in one or more child and youth programs.
• Provides care/supervision, oversight and accountability for program participants.
• Assists in preparing age appropriate activities.
• Serves as a supervisor during indoor and outdoor activities, on field trips, outings and special events.
• Arranges and serves snacks/meals.
• Executes work in accordance with policies and regulations.
• May be required to transport children in government vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate, or equivalent, and able to provide proof of graduation.
• Experience operating one or more gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled vehicles with a GVW of up to 10,000 pounds.
• Experience in defensive driving techniques is desired.
• Completion of 3 AF modules (or equivalent) for CY-01 Entry Level.
• Completion of AF Orientation Training Program for CY-01 Entry Level.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy.
• Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
• Test Designated Position (TDP).
• Pre-employment and random drug testing.
• Favorable pre-employment physical.
• Current immunizations.
• Assigned training, including Food Handlers certification.
