Duties
- Serves as a Child and Youth Program Assistant (CYPA) in one or more child and youth programs.
- Provides care/supervision, oversight and accountability for program participants.
- Assists in preparing age appropriate activities.
- Serves as a supervisor during indoor and outdoor activities, on field trips, outings and special events.
- Arranges and serves snacks/meals.
- Executes work in accordance with policies and regulations.
- May be required to transport children in government vehicles.
Qualifications
- Must be a high school graduate, or equivalent, and able to provide proof of graduation.
- Experience operating one or more gasoline, diesel, or electric powered wheeled vehicles with a GVW of up to 10,000 pounds.
- Experience in defensive driving techniques is desired.
- Completion of 3 AF modules (or equivalent) for CY-01 Entry Level.
- Completion of AF Orientation Training Program for CY-01 Entry Level.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy.
- Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
- Test Designated Position (TDP).
- Pre-employment and random drug testing.
- Favorable pre-employment physical.
- Current immunizations.
- Assigned training, including Food Handlers certification.
