About the role

As an Associate / Provisionally Licensed Therapist at Blackbird Health, you’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and their caregivers with full clinical supervision and administrative support. Working on‑site alongside an interdisciplinary team, you’ll receive dedicated clinical supervision hours toward independent licensure while delivering impactful care. Blackbird handles credentialing, billing, insurance, and EMR so you can focus on patients, offers a guaranteed caseload, and provides board‑approved clinical supervision at no cost, letting you focus on your clinical growth and make a meaningful difference in children’s mental health care.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• Active provisionally licensed / associate credential in VA, MD, or NJ (e.g., Resident in Counseling, LGPC, LMSW, SiSW, LPC-R, LSW, MFT-Associate) working toward independent licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
• 1+ year of experience providing care to children, adolescents, or young adult patients.
• Committed to 100% onsite attendance for clinical supervision, team collaboration, and core clinic presence.
• Available after 3:00 PM ET weekdays and/or weekends.

Pay

• Full‑time (W2): $65,000 – $70,000 base salary (100% onsite).
• Part‑time (W2): $40,000 base salary + $65 per session incentive for completed sessions beyond the 17‑hour baseline.
• Overall salary range: $40,000 USD – $85,000 USD.

Schedule

• Full‑time: 36 hours of scheduled clinical availability supporting 28 completed direct care hours per week.
• Shift options: 4‑day workweek, either 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (four days per week).
• Core hours: minimum of 20 core hours per week during peak evening/weekend periods (after 3:00 PM weekdays and/or weekends).
• Part‑time: 20 contracted hours per week (17 completed direct care hours).
• Part‑time core schedule: all 20 hours anchored in peak core windows after 3:00 PM weekdays and/or weekends (e.g., Mon–Thu 3–8 PM or 3–9 PM, Fri 2–7 PM).
