About the role
Join a health system near Raleigh, North Carolina, to develop a growing service line in a community with limited provider availability. This role offers the potential for a diverse clinical practice, including inpatient and outpatient care, with the opportunity to see children, adolescents, and adults. The position includes managing patient care within a new 16-bed freestanding unit.
Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions in children, adolescents, and adults
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and supervise residents and students
- Provide psychiatric services in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Participate in community outreach and program development
- Work with students and residents in a teaching capacity
Requirements
- Medical degree with board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- Experience with inpatient and outpatient settings preferred
