Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
About the role
The Division of Pediatric Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the University of Utah, Department of Pediatrics and Primary Children’s Hospital is seeking outstanding Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join a growing faculty. Physicians will care for youth in inpatient, crisis, intensive outpatient, and outpatient clinic settings across Salt Lake City, the new Primary Children’s Hospital in Lehi, and Ogden, Utah. The expansion creates opportunities for leadership, multidisciplinary teamwork, education of future health‑care providers, research, and advocacy.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to children and adolescents in inpatient, crisis, intensive outpatient, and outpatient settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive mental‑health services.
- Educate medical students, residents, and other health‑care professionals.
- Conduct translational or basic research and contribute to scholarly activity.
- Engage in advocacy efforts to improve pediatric mental‑health access and outcomes.
- Participate in leadership roles as the department expands to additional sites.
Requirements
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Psychiatry.
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Qualifications
- Faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure track at an academic level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
