Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist
About the role
The Division of Pediatric Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the University of Utah, Department of Pediatrics and Primary Children's Hospital seeks to hire outstanding Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to join their growing faculty. They are looking for physicians passionate about pediatric mental health to care for youth in various settings including inpatient, crisis, intensive outpatient, and outpatient clinics. With plans to expand services to the new Primary Children's Hospital in Lehi, Utah, and Ogden, Utah, they are seeking candidates interested in leading these efforts.
Responsibilities
- Care for youth in inpatient, crisis, intensive outpatient, and outpatient clinic settings
- Work in multi-disciplinary teams to provide clinical care
- Conduct research related to pediatric mental health
- Engage in advocacy for children's mental health
Requirements
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a strong commitment to pediatric mental health and a passion for teaching and research. They should also have experience working in diverse settings and a track record of successful clinical practice.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential. Proficiency in evidence-based practices and a commitment to continuous professional development are also valued.
