�Child and Adolescent Day Treatment Specialist

Position Highlights

Provides direct services through school-based interventions to support family preservation, meet educational goals, and maintain appropriate role functioning in the community setting as outlined in the Child and Adolescent Day Treatment service definition.

Delivers one-on-one and group interventions such as skill building activities, intervenes with positive behavioral supports, enhances consumer's knowledge of interpersonal and community relational skills.

Develops individualized Person-Centered Plans and facilitates Child and Family Team meetings. Performs ongoing assessment and evaluation of the social and daily living needs of clients to ensure seamless transition from this enhanced service to the next medically necessary service.

Provides psychoeducation of mental health and substance use needs to the client, their family, school, and other stakeholders.

Required Educational/Experiential Qualifications

• Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service field with 2 years of post-Bachelor’s experience with Mental Health population.
• Mets requirements under 10A NCAC 27G.0104 as a Qualified Professional for Mental Health.
• A minimum of two (2) years documented experience with children, adolescents, and families.
