About the role

As a Therapist at Blackbird Health, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality virtual and in-person therapy to children, adolescents, young adults, and their caregivers. You’ll build meaningful relationships with patients and families, taking the time to understand their needs, support engagement in treatment, and educate them on therapeutic approaches that foster long-term progress. Working alongside an interdisciplinary team, you’ll be empowered to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young patients and their families through compassionate, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality virtual and in-person therapy sessions to children, adolescents, young adults, and their caregivers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with patients and families, understanding their needs and supporting engagement in treatment.
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic approaches that foster long-term progress.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for young patients and their families.
  • Support the growth and development of your skills through weekly clinical consultation and peer support.

Requirements

  • Active Virginia license: LCSW, LPC, LPC-R, LMFT, LMSW, or SiSW.
  • 1+ year of experience with children and adolescent patients.
  • 1+ year of telehealth or virtual setting experience.
  • Availability after 3pm ET weekdays and/or weekends.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or related field.
  • Current licensure in Virginia.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents.
  • Experience with telehealth or virtual settings.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to document accurately.

Pay

Salary range: $40,000 USD - $105,000 USD based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Multiple employment tracks are available: 1099 Contractor or W2 Part-Time. Both options offer flexible scheduling and a guaranteed caseload.
