Child Abuse Pediatrician - (Remote or Part Time Available)

About the role

Norton Children’s Pediatric Protection Specialists, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, is seeking multiple child abuse pediatricians. The team includes child abuse pediatricians, social workers, advanced practice providers, nurses, and administrative support staff. They evaluate children from across Kentucky and Southern Indiana who are suspected victims of child maltreatment. Fellows trained here have gone on to provide care from Maine to South Dakota.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate children at Norton Children’s Hospital and perform case reviews for those not seen in person.
• Work in tandem with a nurse or nurse practitioner on all cases.
• Be responsible for evaluation, case management, on-call duties, report writing, and court testimony when needed.

Qualifications

• Medical degree/diploma
• Kentucky medical license or license eligible
• Residency/fellowship certification in general pediatrics
• Board certification or board eligibility in child abuse pediatrics
