Chief Technology Officer

Come build the sixth wave with us. Sixth Wave Solutions is a new Atlanta AI and software company. We build practical AI and custom software around how each business actually runs, and we put senior engineers on our clients' teams. We're building our founding team, and we're looking for a CTO who would rather build a company than join one. This is a full-time founding role, compensated with a co-founder's equity stake. You'll own a real share of what we build, and help run it. Based in Atlanta, GA. You'll live in the Atlanta area and work with the team in person at least three days a week. The jobYou'll set the technical direction for the AI and software we build for clients and for our own products, such as FloodCaliber. You'll still write code, review the work that matters, and hire and grow the engineers our clients rely on. What you'll do• Set the architecture and engineering standards across client builds and our own products.• Turn a messy problem from a discovery call into a plan we can price and deliver.• Review designs and code on the work that matters, and ship some yourself.• Hire and grow our engineers, including those who join our clients' teams.• Open doors: bring in the businesses you know, and help win their trust. What you'll bring• Consulting experience: you know what it takes to win a client's trust and deliver.• A network across many businesses, and the people who run them.• The entrepreneurial spirit: you've built something, or you're ready to.• Years of shipping and running production software, with a team behind you.• Hands-on work with LLMs, retrieval and evaluation, and a sharp eye for hype.• The ability to explain a technical trade-off to a business owner in plain words.
