Responsibilities
- Own the Infrastructure transformation vision and multi-year roadmap aligned to business strategy, regulatory obligations, and risk appetite; translate strategy into clear OKRs and measurable outcomes.
- Lead cloud migration at scale (AWS as primary) including landing zone architecture, identity, network connectivity, workload placement, and application rationalization; establish FinOps practices for cloud cost governance and optimization.
- Engineer resiliency by design: set enterprise RTO/RPO targets, drive active-active/DR patterns, chaos testing, backup/restore standards, and cyber-resilience (in partnership with the CISO) across on-prem and cloud estates.
- Modernize End-User Computing (e.g., Microsoft 365, endpoint management/Intune, VDI/DaaS) to improve productivity, security (Zero Trust), and supportability; accelerate self-service and automation.
- Advance ITSM maturity (ITIL 4): streamline incident, problem, change, request, and asset practices; implement SRE/observability, reduce MTTR, and lower change failure rate through DevOps-aligned workflows.
- Establish platform engineering and automation: standardize infrastructure as code (IaC), CI/CD for infrastructure, and golden patterns for repeatable deployments across environments.
- Optimize infrastructure financials: create transparency for TCO and unit economics; manage budgets, forecast cloud/on-prem spend, and drive savings via consolidation, modernization, and FinOps guardrails.
- Strengthen vendor/third-party performance management for data center operations, network services, and managed support; enforce SLAs, risk controls, and exit strategies; align with procurement and vendor risk.
- Build trusted stakeholder relationships across Technology, Risk, Security, and the business; prioritize initiatives that deliver time-to-value, efficiency, and customer experience improvements.
- Govern architecture and standards: partner with enterprise architects to maintain reference architectures, technology lifecycles, and technical debt remediation plans.
- Develop high-performing teams: mentor leaders and engineers; cultivate a culture of reliability, automation, learning, and accountability; represent Old National Bank at external forums.
