Chief Privacy Officer

Job Description/Responsibilities

The Cloud Software Group is seeking a Chief Privacy Officer (“CPO”) to lead and provide vision for its global privacy strategy. The CPO oversees the company’s global privacy program, working with a broad range of stakeholders, including senior executives, product teams, engineers, and business leaders. This person will lead a team dedicated to supporting the company’s changing business needs, ensuring compliance with a dynamic landscape of privacy, AI, and data protection laws.

Required Experience/Skills

• Law degree and at least 10 years of relevant privacy experience, including time in house.
• Ideally, the candidate will have over five years of experience in the SaaS B2B industry.
• Global privacy expertise with specific knowledge of privacy regulations and industry standards in all major markets/jurisdictions, including experience with overseeing compliance with privacy and security certifications and standards, such as ISO and FedRAMP.
• Deep technical competence, including the ability to understand and analyze the company’s products and offerings, particularly privacy, AI, and data security-related features and functionalities.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage with all levels of the organization.
• Outstanding relationship management skills, including the ability to develop partnerships and relationships throughout the organization.
• A strategic problem solver with excellent legal and business judgement.
• A collaborative leadership style that empowers the privacy team as well as fostering cross-functional cooperation from internal stakeholders.
