Duties
- Equipment maintenance, repair, and acquisition
- Hand tool accountability and control
- Facility management
- Facility safety and hazardous material control
- Container testing and evaluation
- Fabrication and assembly process support
- Material handling and reorganization
- Assisting with quality assurance for prototype and production units
- Assisting with in-house projects and process improvements
- Assisting in the preparation and release of technical reports
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical certificate from an accredited technical college, trade school, vocational school, or apprenticeship program in a relevant field
- 15 years of work experience with equipment maintenance, repair, or similar
- 5 years demonstrated successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to follow complex instructions with the fabrication and assembly of packaging with no supervision and mentor younger personnel
- 5 years experience with quality assurance, maintenance record keeping, and related efforts
- Track record of identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement
- Experience working with the US Air Force
- 3 years experience working with the Air Force Packaging Technology & Engineering Facility (AFPTEF)
- Effective written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite – namely Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Attention to detail
