Chief Operations Engineer

About the role

The Chief Operations Engineer supports the Future Operationally Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE) Lead Integration, Test, and Evaluation with 24/7 Operational Support (FLITE+) program at Buckley Space Force Base. This role focuses on system design, engineering and integration, engineering services, information technology professional services, and continuous operational support.

Responsibilities

• Operational engineering oversight of Missile Warning Integration and Test.
• Integration and test support to live 24/7 operations.
• Configuration and sustainment management of mission systems.
• Operational risk identification and mitigation.
• Cross-functional coordination between engineering and operations teams.
• Mission performance monitoring and readiness validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• 8 years of relevant operational engineering experience.
• Demonstrated leadership of mission-critical system operations.
• Experience supporting integration and test in operational environments.
• Ability to operate in a TS/SCI classified environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Target salary range: $150k-$170k.
