About the Role
Responsible for the overall leadership of the hospital's services and programs, ensuring the establishment and attainment of tactical and operational goals consistent with the organizational strategic plan and in accordance with budgetary, quality, and service excellence goals. Represents the hospital to internal and external constituents to promote a positive image and facilitate collaborative relationships.
Responsibilities
- Actively participates in the strategic planning process by establishing strategic direction and prioritizing strategic initiatives (20%).
- Assists in the development of short- and long-range institutional goals in accordance with the hospital's mission, vision, values, and strategic direction (20%).
- Provides leadership in hospital-wide Quality, Performance Improvement, and Service Excellence initiatives, including the hospital's Service Excellence program (20%).
- Prepares and manages the fiscal year budget, ensuring the budget planning process correctly identifies operational needs of all departments and that Vice Presidents operate within the approved budget (20%).
- Provides leadership, management, and supervision to hospital Vice Presidents, ensuring hiring, development, and retention of key senior leaders and the creation/maintenance of high-quality service and high-performing work teams (20%).
- Provides hospital-wide leadership to ensure continuous compliance with Joint Commission, DOH, and all other regulatory requirements within established parameters (20%).
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management or Health Care.
- Ten years of progressive hospital administration experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
