Chief of Urology, Peconic Bay Medical Center
Northwell Health Urology is seeking a physician leader for the position of Chief of Urology at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead, NY.
Responsibilities
- Work with the chair on all matters related to clinical operations
- Ensure high-quality patient care through development and standardization of care processes and protocols
- Continue to develop a culture of scholarship in quality improvement, health equity, and outcomes
- Ensure the productivity of physician faculty and support staff
- Maintain and improve upon the excellence within the department
Requirements
- MD degree or equivalent from an accredited College of Medicine
- Completion of residency and fellowship with Board Certification or eligibility
- Current NYS License
- Outstanding communication and management skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with medical staff, hospital management, and staff
- Previous division, department, or program leadership experience
About the Organization
The Smith Institute for Urology at Northwell Health has seen tremendous growth over the past five years within Long Island, New York City, and Westchester, with the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated healthcare and wellness services. The department specializes in minimally invasive procedures to treat urologic diseases affecting the bladder, kidneys, male genitalia, and prostate.
Physicians in the department are also faculty of the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, contributing to excellent quality care and the development of novel educational programs. The department fosters a collaborative environment with weekly conferences to stay updated on the latest treatments and technologies, supported by residencies and an extensive network of physician extenders.
