About the Role

Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is a nationally recognized, award-winning public healthcare system providing high-quality primary, specialty, and emergency care through an established network of outpatient clinics, a dedicated psychiatric inpatient facility, and two full-service hospitals. We are seeking a full-time Chief for our Urology Division.

The incoming Chief will lead a growing multidisciplinary team, drive strategic growth and care innovation, oversee and mentor outstanding professional staff, and identify quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team including 3 Urologists and 3+ Advanced Practice Clinicians.
  • Drive strategic growth and care innovation in partnership with surgical specialty and operational leadership across the Department of Surgery and CHA.
  • Oversee a collaborative practice environment with a built-in referral network of over 300 primary care physicians and an innovative clinical model with over 10,000 urology clinic visits annually.
  • Provide comprehensive urologic care for patients of all ages, addressing conditions such as kidney stones, urinary incontinence, prostate cancer, and bladder cancer (general, endo, female, and oncology).
  • Utilize excellent support staff and dedicated practice management systems to practice at the top of your license.
  • Participate in a strong Quality Improvement program, including involvement in American College of Surgeons NSAQIP and COC accreditation, multidisciplinary tumor boards, and cancer programs.
  • Leverage state-of-the-art technology, including da Vinci DV5 and Xi Robotic Surgical Systems, laser and MIS techniques, transrectal prostate biopsy systems, and access to interventional radiology and advanced radiologic imaging.
  • Practice across multiple locations in Cambridge, Somerville, and Everett.
  • Utilize the state-of-the-art Epic EMR system.
  • Engage in clinical research and teaching opportunities with residents and medical students as a Harvard Medical School affiliate. This position includes an HMS appointment of Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor.

Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Urology, or the ability to obtain prior to start.
  • Unlimited licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Active DEA License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience actively practicing Urology.
  • Proven leadership experience or training.
  • Fluency in EMR systems & technology.

Pay

The full-time total compensation salary range is $520,000-$700,000. Total compensation includes a guaranteed base salary plus production incentive and Chief stipend.
