About the role
Vanguard is seeking an energetic, results-oriented professional to serve as Chief of Staff for a Vanguard Sr leader. This role is a trusted advisor, consultant, and thought partner, operating at the intersection of strategy, execution, and communication.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic partner to help shape priorities, drive focus, and ensure effective execution of FAST’s agenda.
- Plan, facilitate, and continuously improve weekly senior staff meetings, enabling presenters to deliver value-added, outcome-oriented discussions.
- Support achievement of the Divisional CIO’s development and external presence objectives, including preparation for internal and external engagements such as monthly client interactions, quarterly publications, and monthly LinkedIn communications.
- Design and execute high-impact global town halls, ensuring clear messaging, strong engagement, and alignment to divisional and enterprise priorities.
- Anticipate risks, dependencies, and opportunities, proactively bringing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Own and drive Financial Advisor Services Technology's (FAST) Change and Communications strategy, influencing and engaging a 300+ person global technology organization.
- Translate complex strategies and initiatives into clear, compelling narratives tailored to diverse audiences.
- Create and deliver executive-level communications and materials, including long-form written communications, presentations, and multimedia content.
- Partner closely with technology, business, and people leaders to ensure consistency of message and alignment to Vanguard’s values and ways of working.
Qualifications
- Five years of consulting, strategy, or chief of staff experience supporting senior executives required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including long-form written communications, presentations, video, and executive messaging.
- Proven consulting, advisory, and strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence leaders and navigate complex organizational dynamics.
- Interpersonal and organizational savvy with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong organizational skills, resourcefulness, and ability to drive execution through others.
- Ability to synthesize complex information, identify key insights, and develop actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
- Experience interacting with and acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
- Experience influencing senior-level executives on critical business decisions.
- Change management, and/or internal communications experience.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required / Graduate degree preferred.
