The Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Utah School of Medicine is seeking to hire a Division Chief of Pediatric Orthopaedics. This is a tenure-line faculty position in the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, determined by the chosen candidate's qualifications.
About the Role
The candidate will join a dynamic, successful, and growing 13-member team within an outstanding academic Orthopaedic Department. The Division provides the pediatric orthopaedic care for the University of Utah, the Level 1 tertiary referral center for children in the Intermountain West, Primary Children's Hospital, and the Level 2 Miller Campus of Primary Children's in Lehi, Utah, in addition to other local and outreach locations.
Responsibilities
- Provide Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgical care
- Work closely with the pediatric team and executive leadership to further the missions of the Division and Department of Orthopaedics
Requirements
- Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery with greater than 7 years' experience in academic practice
- Advanced fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery
- A proven track record of successful leadership in academic medicine
Qualifications
- Sincere desire to lead, develop, and mentor others in focused clinical, research, and educational programs in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery
- Interest and experience in department and/or health system leadership
- Demonstrated exceptional academic interest and a clear track record of excellence in all aspects of Orthopaedics, including clinical care, education, research, and service
