Chief of Pediatric General Surgery

About the role

The successful candidate will serve as Director of Perinatal Surgery and Chief of the Division of Pediatric General Surgery at Nemours Children’s Health Delaware Valley in Wilmington, DE.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Advanced Delivery Unit and Fetal Care Center Programs
• Oversees the Level One Pediatric Trauma Center
• Mentors the next generation of pediatric surgeons through the Pediatric Surgery fellowship program
• Engages in cutting-edge research and contributes to the advancement of pediatric surgical care
• Participates in the Nemours Children’s Health Delaware Valley’s commitment to continuous improvement, patient safety, and surgical excellence

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
• Fellowship trained in Pediatric General Surgery
• Fetal Surgery experience
• Board certified/eligible in Pediatric General Surgery
• Valid medical license and DEA
