Chief of Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery Division, Associate or Full Professor of Ob/Gyn Clinician Educator

About the role

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. This role will also serve as Chief of Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery Division.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise is required in the specific area of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS).
  • Candidates must be board certified and trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology and have formal fellowship training in MIGS.
  • Teaching responsibilities may include training and supervision of Ob/Gyn residents and medical students with plans to start a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.
  • Interest in educational leadership is highly desirable.
  • Provide gynecologic care and minimally invasive surgery.
  • Collaborate on research or scholarship responsibilities including basic, translational, clinical and/or health policy research.

Requirements

  • An M.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Board certification and fellowship training in Obstetrics and Gynecology and MIGS.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in education and leadership.
  • Experience in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
  • Outstanding record of publications.
  • Experience in collaborative science.

Skills

  • Excellent teaching and mentoring skills.
  • Leadership and development in MIGS.
