Chief Marketing & Intake Officer

Chamberlain Advisors · Houston, TX · Yesterday
RemoteRemoteMarketingFull-time

Chamberlain Advisors is conducting an executive search for Certum Legal Solutions (CLS), a technology-forward legal services platform building a national, vertically integrated personal injury and mass tort enterprise. CLS brings insurance, litigation funding, and legal-service solutions together under a single platform, combining capabilities no other organization in the market offers, and acquires and integrates leading plaintiff law firms across the United States.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and based remotely within the United States, the Chief Marketing & Intake Officer will own marketing and intake end-to-end, ensuring accountability for the cost and quality of every acquired case. This is a greenfield opportunity to build the marketing engine and intake function from the ground up on a Salesforce-centric foundation, deploy capital across diverse channels, and scale operations across a rapidly growing multi-brand portfolio.

About the Role

This executive role requires strategic ownership of both marketing and intake, sitting atop lead generation and conversion to drive signed, retained cases at a defensible cost. You will partner directly with the CEO and COO/CTO to own the function’s P&L, set acquisition strategy across a multi-brand portfolio, and defend every channel and spend decision with data. The position demands a hands-on builder mentality to stand up the marketing organization, launch measurable campaigns quickly, and progressively scale toward a 24/7 multi-channel contact center.

Technology and AI are core to the role, with a focus on a Salesforce-centric stack, resilient integrations, and deploying conversational AI and automation where they enhance performance while maintaining human oversight for legal compliance and sensitive interactions. You will deploy capital across paid digital, search, social, performance affiliate networks, and mass media, calibrating strategies tort-by-tort and market-by-market. Cultural alignment is critical: you must share the platform’s mission of helping injured and wronged people secure compensation and thrive in an ego-checked, accountability-first environment.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy & Multi-Channel Capital Deployment
    • Set channel strategy and allocate spend across paid digital, search, social, performance affiliate and aggregator networks, and mass media (television, radio, out-of-home), adjusting tort-by-tort and market-by-market.
    • Hire and lead a team to bid and reallocate capital daily, scaling toward a nine-figure annual marketing investment with clear KPIs.
    • Manage agency and lead-aggregator relationships, centralizing where beneficial and reducing third-party lead dependency over time.
    • Navigate multistate regulatory complexity, building a scalable approach that accounts for jurisdictional differences.
  • Intake & Conversion Operations
    • Own lead-to-retainer conversion, ensuring quality control before handoff to operations.
    • Partner with intake leadership to build a 24/7 multi-channel contact center (phone, web, chat, SMS) within ~12 months, with DocuSign and SMS for retainers.
    • Maintain answer rates at 90%+, optimize speed-to-lead, scripting, and conversion rates for high-stakes claimant decisions.
    • Scale the function to handle ~1,000 leads/day, signing 50–60 cases/day at maturity.
  • Performance Analytics & Unit Economics
    • Own cost per acquired/retained case as the north-star metric, supported by cost-per-lead and full-funnel tracking (leads → solid leads → signed cases).
    • Calibrate acceptable acquisition costs against case value (e.g., routine motor-vehicle vs. catastrophic cases) and track payout speed/amount.
    • Build attribution frameworks, dashboards, and board-grade reporting with granular metadata (device, browser, time of day, ad engagement).
    • Defend channel/process decisions with data, framing investments in case economics for executives and investors.
  • Technology, AI & Salesforce Enablement
    • Serve as a Salesforce power user, building reports/dashboards and owning the function’s outputs end-to-end.
    • Stand up marketing integrations from zero, hardening them with redundancy and checkpoints to prevent silent failures.
    • Partner with the COO/CTO to deploy generative/agentic AI (e.g., voice agents, automated record pulls) while keeping humans in the loop for disclaimers and distressed callers.
    • Design technology solutions alongside workflows to eliminate manual workarounds.
  • Leadership, Integration & Culture
    • Recruit and develop a 50+ person marketing/intake team, holding operators accountable to consistent metrics.
    • Assess each acquired firm’s market opportunity, build brand-specific growth plans, and integrate marketing/intake on a 30/60/90-day arc.
    • Lead change through influence, treating founder-attorneys as partners with real stakes; capture quick wins before addressing structural change.
    • Surface problems early, own mistakes, and communicate status proactively.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of marketing leadership in high-volume, consumer-facing environments with progressive P&L ownership.
  • Deep expertise in consumer marketing across paid digital, search, social, performance affiliates, and mass media (TV, radio, out-of-home).
  • Personal-injury or legal marketing experience strongly preferred; adjacent regulated DTC verticals (debt settlement, revenue-cycle management, mortgage, RIA/wealth) considered if funnel economics and multistate complexity transfer.
  • Working command of high-volume intake/contact-center operations to lead conversion without being the deepest specialist.
  • Fluency in consumer-acquisition economics: cost per acquired case, cost-per-lead, funnel analysis, and marketing attribution.
  • Experience marketing regulated, multistate professional services with command of jurisdictional differences.
  • Current understanding of generative-engine optimization and AI-driven discovery (not legacy SEO).
  • Salesforce power user preferred (able to build reports/dashboards and design tech solutions alongside workflows).
  • Hands-on experience deploying generative/agentic AI in production with an experimental mindset.
  • Track record of building functions from scratch and launching live campaigns quickly in high-growth environments.
  • Experience in private-equity-backed or acquisitive multi-brand environments, including investor reporting.
  • Ability to lead acquired-firm change through influence and data rather than authority.
  • Remote within the U.S.; Dallas/DFW area preferred. Travel as needed to company operations and acquired-firm locations.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary.
  • Performance bonus.
  • Equity participation.
