CHIEF LEGAL OFFICER

About the role

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. Responsibilities

• Serve as principal legal advisor to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team
• Develop and execute the organization's legal strategy aligned with corporate objectives
• Identify legal risks and implement proactive protection measures
• Provide legal guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and business expansion opportunities
• Ensure governance practices comply with laws and bylaws
• Oversee litigation, claims, and government investigations
• Provide legal oversight for real estate transactions and matters

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school required
• Active member in good standing of a State Bar required
• Minimum of 12 years of progressively responsible legal experience
• At least 7 years in executive or senior legal leadership positions
• Significant experience in healthcare organizations or integrated delivery systems required
• Experience managing outside counsel and complex litigation
• Expertise in healthcare regulatory compliance and corporate governance

Pay

$400,000 – $500,000 annually
