Responsibilities
- Oversight of inspection standards, methods, and procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with FAA, EASA, DCMA, and other regulations.
- Certifying aircraft airworthiness through inspections and aircraft releases.
- Coordinating inspections related to maintenance, modifications, and component changes.
- Maintaining high standards of workmanship and using approved equipment and materials.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to protocols.
- Maintaining detailed records of inspections and certifications.
- Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Providing leadership and mentorship to the inspection team.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements for inspection operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (minimum 11 years).
- In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation inspection practices.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex technical documents.
- Active, current FAA A&P certification and Inspection Authorization designation.
- Advanced experience and knowledge of aircraft, systems, equipment, and parts.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Previous management or lead experience; ability to recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate work; and oversee staff development.
- Experience with EASA regulations and DCMA guidelines.
- Background in Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense, or US Military.
