Chief Inspector III

Responsibilities

• Oversight of inspection standards, methods, and procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with FAA, EASA, DCMA, and other regulations.
• Certifying aircraft airworthiness through inspections and aircraft releases.
• Coordinating inspections related to maintenance, modifications, and component changes.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and using approved equipment and materials.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to protocols.
• Maintaining detailed records of inspections and certifications.
• Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Providing leadership and mentorship to the inspection team.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements for inspection operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience (minimum 11 years).
• In-depth knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation inspection practices.
• Ability to understand and interpret complex technical documents.
• Active, current FAA A&P certification and Inspection Authorization designation.
• Advanced experience and knowledge of aircraft, systems, equipment, and parts.
• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Previous management or lead experience; ability to recruit, assign, direct, and evaluate work; and oversee staff development.
• Experience with EASA regulations and DCMA guidelines.
• Background in Aerospace and Defense Industry, US Department of Defense, or US Military.
