Responsibilities
- Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to subordinate group, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Serves as technical expert in field inspections and audits, recognized as the 'go-to' expert internally and externally for complex technical issues.
- Provides clear guidance for all inspections, ensuring consistency and adherence to quality standards across projects.
- Sets direction and goals for inspection teams, aligning with overall project objectives and organizational strategies.
- Acts as external spokesperson on technical project issues, representing the company in meetings with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
- Leads the development and implementation of audit strategies for individual's area of expertise, continuously refining processes for maximum effectiveness.
- Serves as key point of contact for high-profile engagements and member of AECOM senior leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making.
- Oversees the development and implementation of safety protocols for all inspection activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- HS plus 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
- Experience working with Connecticut Dept. of Transportation (CTDOT) Metro-North Railroad Safety certification.
- Experience supervising / managing less experienced inspectors.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules as needed for projects, including overnight work.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification, Engineer In Training (EIT), or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- NICET certification (or ability to obtain required level).
