About the role
The Chief Construction Inspector will review job specifications, plans, field work methods, costs, and supervise inspectors on the job site to verify compliance with contract documents.
Responsibilities
- Review job specifications, plans, field work methods, costs, and supervise inspectors on the job site to verify compliance with contract documents.
- Possess NICET IV Certification in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction or equivalent.
- Possess DDC Water Main Training, NJSAT, ACI and Rutgers TCC certifications and knowledge of Ebuilder.
- Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrains.
- Ability to repetitively stoop, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift 25 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes, in addition to ability to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years prior construction inspection experience on NYCDDC or NYSTA projects.
- Possess NICET II, III or IV Certification in Transportation/Highway and Bridge Construction or equivalent.
- OSHA 10 hour certification.
- Possess DDC Water Main Training, NJSAT, ACI and Rutgers TCC certifications and knowledge of SiteManager.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Ability to perform complex quantity and engineering computations.

Pay
The projected hourly rate for this position is $53.00 to $85.00. Depending upon other factors, i.e., skills, experience, location, market conditions, the range may vary slightly.
