Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive human capital strategies that support the organization's strategic objectives.
- Oversee talent acquisition and management, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee learning and development programs.
- Lead the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with legal requirements.
- Manage employee relations, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain human capital policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with best practices.
- Provide guidance and support to management on human capital issues, including employee performance, coaching, and terminations.
- Oversee the administration of employee leave programs, including long-term disability, short-term disability, and FMLA.
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage the human capital budget, including compensation, benefits, and training expenses.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making as a member of the senior leadership team.
Secondary Duties
- Maintain advanced knowledge and awareness of financial industry status and trends, especially those that relate to Human Capital.
- Represent the organization in various community, civic, and professional organizations to enhance the company's image and develop business opportunities.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to EEO policy; show respect and sensitivity for cultural differences; educate others on the value of diversity; promote a working environment free of harassment of any type; build a diverse workforce and support affirmative action.
- Support the organization's training and development programs, including the development of annual training calendars and managing training logistics.
- Act as a backup for other human capital roles as needed.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of management-level experience in human capital management, including experience in compensation and benefits, employee relations, and talent management.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and tailor messaging for different audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and human capital management systems such as payroll, time & labor, performance management and applicant tracking systems.
- Ability to handle confidential matters sensitively and appropriately.
- Degree in Human Resource management or related field preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Pay
$185,000 - $195,000 annually, depending on experience.

This position will be based at our Administration office in Bakersfield and requires working on-site.
