Responsibilities

  • Carry out all policies and procedures established by the Governing Board in accordance with the hospital’s philosophy and practices.
  • Plan, organize, and influence department activities.
  • Ensure financial records of the hospital are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance (or closely related field).
  • Extensive knowledge of healthcare accounting practices and principles.
  • Progressively responsible position in the accounting profession.
  • Familiarity with computer accounting programs.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Membership and active participation in ACHE and/or other professional organizations preferred.
  • Five to seven years’ experience in hospital accounting/finance required; two years in management preferred.
  • Management of hospital financial issues related to budgeting, cash management, capital finance, and performance evaluations.
  • Knowledge of insurance matters, regulations, reimbursement, information systems, and plant operations.

Pay

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $220,000.00 to $280,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, considering factors such as skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
