About the role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with financial regulations. The CFO works closely with the Board of Directors and senior management to ensure that the organization's financial health supports its mission and strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with financial regulations.
- Work closely with the Board of Directors and senior management to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and strategic goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders, including donors, investors, and regulatory bodies.
- Manage the financial risk assessment process and implement strategies to mitigate risks.
- Lead the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial resources are allocated effectively.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
- A CPA certification is preferred but not required.
- Proven track record of successful financial management and leadership.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with financial software and systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in non-profit organizations is a plus.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 annually.
Schedule
