Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/Director of Finance

About the role

Kirton McConkie, one of the largest and most respected law firms in the Intermountain West, is seeking a highly accomplished CFO/Director of Finance.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all financial and accounting functions.
• Provides executive oversight of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, internal controls, banking relationships, tax coordination, shareholder compensation, and all other financial operations.
• Serves as a trusted advisor to firm leadership, delivering financial analysis, strategic insights, and guidance that inform key business decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven to ten years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and financial management, with demonstrated success in a senior leadership capacity.
• Proven track record of hands-on leadership and management of an accounting department, including direct supervision and development of professional staff.
• Exceptional judgment, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to diverse stakeholders, including attorneys and firm leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required; CPA designation or advanced degree (MBA) strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment required.
