About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned financial executive with a proven track record of leading public companies or taking companies public, preferably in the AI or automotive sector. You will be responsible for building our finance function, ensuring financial integrity, and driving shareholder value.

Locations: San Jose, California, US (Or Remote)

Responsibilities

  • Investor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with investors, analysts, and financial institutions. Communicate the company's financial performance, strategy, and growth story effectively.
  • Fundraising & Capital Markets: Lead capital-raising efforts, including private and public financing, and manage relationships with investors.
  • Financial Strategy & Management: Oversee financial planning, treasury, and risk management to optimize the company's capital structure and support business growth.
  • Regulatory & Compliance & Executive Leadership: Ensure adherence to SEC regulations, US GAAP, and SOX compliance, working closely with investment banks, legal advisors, auditors, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with a strong emphasis on capital markets, fundraising, and investor relations.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading a company through a significant financing event.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX compliance, and public company financial reporting.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to engage with investors, analysts, and public markets.
  • Strong financial modeling, strategic analysis, and capital markets expertise.
  • Investment banking, private equity, or public company finance experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in the AI, technology, or automotive sectors is highly desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
