Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
The Iowa Primary Care Association is recruiting a full-time General Dentist to provide care at a vibrant community health center (FQHC) in Sioux City, IA. Community health centers (FQHCs) are the largest source of comprehensive primary care for underserved communities, offering integrated medical, dental, behavioral health, and pharmacy services under one roof.
About the role
As the financial leader, you will guide the finance staff in setting and achieving the organization’s financial goals. Responsibilities include managing the Controller, Financial Manager, and Revenue Cycle Manager, as well as overseeing all financial activities such as planning, budgeting, forecasting, audits, financial reporting, and compliance. You will also develop key relationships with the CEO, Finance Committee, Board of Directors, external auditors, and payor sources.
- Lead finance staff in setting and achieving financial goals
- Manage Controller, Financial Manager, and Revenue Cycle Manager
- Oversee financial activities, including planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with audits, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Develop relationships with CEO, Board of Directors, auditors, and payor sources
This position oversees 3 direct reports on the Finance team.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with availability for additional hours as needed.
Requirements
- Financial leadership experience in a healthcare setting
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- CPA or CMA highly preferred
- Expertise in cost accounting and performance management systems
- Experience in revenue cycle improvement
- Proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, strategy, and forecasting
- Knowledge of state, federal, and third-party payors
- Advanced computer and data entry skills
